Deion Sanders Jr. Reposts Kiper Quote About Shedeur Haunting Teams That Passed on Him
The Sanders family is speaking out, both verbally and on social media, after Shedeur Sanders went undrafted in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday night.
On ESPN's draft broadcast, Mel Kiper Jr. said the Colorado product will "come back to haunt these organizations that are passing him up."

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
This caught the attention of Shedeur's brother, Deion Sanders Jr., who reposted it on X.
There's an assumption Sanders fell in the draft because he wasn't among the first 32 picks.
While there was a time when Sanders was believed to be a first-round pick, even a potential top-three pick around the time of the Super Bowl, it became fairly common knowledge in the days leading up to the draft that he might not be selected that high.
CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones said in the hours before the draft that Sanders may not be selected in the first round and "more teams than not that I spoke to" had him with a second-round grade.
The Ringer's Todd McShay said on Tuesday that the New Orleans Saints were focused on the offensive line or edge at No. 9 amid speculation they might target a quarterback given the uncertainty of Derek Carr's shoulder injury.
McShay also said New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll was "not a Shedeur guy" and he preferred Jaxson Dart. Sure enough, the Giants traded back into the first round with the Houston Texans to select the Ole Miss product at No. 25 overall.
As the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to wait for a decision from Aaron Rodgers, they elected to use their first pick at No. 21 on Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon.
When you put all of the pieces together, there was no spot left for Sanders to go in the first round. It's not a surprise he's still available, despite the obvious objections from members of his family.
Now that it's done, though, all that matters for Sanders is landing in a spot that can maximize his ability. He could end up being the first pick on Friday night with the quarterback-needy Cleveland Browns set to kick things off with the No. 33 overall selection.
