Travis Hunter's Father Given Permission by Court to Attend 2025 NFL Draft in Person
The father of Colorado star Travis Hunter will be on hand to watch his son walk up on stage at the 2025 NFL draft.
The Palm Beach Post's Tom D'Angelo reported Travis Hunter Sr. received permission from a judge to make the trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin. The elder Hunter is serving his three-year probation stemming from a 2023 arrest on gun and drug charges. One condition is that he remained confined at home for the first year.

The terms of his probation prevented Travis Sr. from attending the Heisman Trophy ceremony and watching his son lift the award.
During his acceptance speech, Hunter took a moment to speak directly to his dad.
"I want to say something to my father. He's not here and be able to make it, but I know you watching on TV," he said. "Dad, I love you. All the stuff you went through… I did it for you, man. All the times that you didn't get to see me, or the time you came to see my games.
"From seeing probably two games in high school to seeing me on TV every weekend and coming to see me, that means so much to me. I know you wanted to be here and you can't. But trust me, I got you. I'm bringing the trophy home."
Hunter is widely regarded as one of the top players in the 2025 draft class, and he's all but guaranteed to go in the top five. He ranks first on Bleacher Report's big board and was projected to go second overall to the Cleveland Browns in B/R's most recent mock draft.
