Updated 2025 NBA Draft Selection Order and Lottery Odds After Tiebreaker Drawings

The NBA conducted random drawings to break five ties among teams with identical records and gain clarity on the order for the 2025 NBA draft.

The league revealed the results of the tiebreaker drawings on Monday. Most notably, the Phoenix Suns won a tiebreaker with the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dallas Mavericks won a tiebreaker with the Chicago Bulls, improving their odds in the NBA draft lottery:

The Sacramento Kings also earned a boost in their lottery odds after winning a tiebreaker with the Atlanta Hawks. The two teams finished 40-42 and have the lowest odds of any lottery team.

Outside of the lottery, the Memphis Grizzlies won a tiebreaker with the Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors for the No. 18 pick. The Washington Wizards own the Grizzlies' first-round selection. The Los Angeles Lakers won a four-way tiebreaker for the No. 22 pick, though their first-round pick belongs to the Hawks.

The teams in the lottery will be hoping to earn the chance to select Duke freshman Cooper Flagg, who is universally regarded as the prized prospect of this year's draft class. The star forward declared for the draft on Monday after an impressive season in which he averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists on his way to winning the Wooden Award and consensus National Player of the Year honors.

The NBA draft lottery will be held on Monday, May 12, and broadcast on ESPN. The first round of the NBA draft will be held on June 25, while the second round will take place the following day.
