LeBron James, Luka Doncic, Lakers Criticized By NBA Fans in G1 Loss to Edwards, Wolves

The Los Angeles Lakers couldn't secure a Game 1 victory in the team's first-round playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, falling by the final score of 117-95.

The Lakers led by seven points after the first quarter, but they were outscored 38-20 by Minnesota in the second. Los Angeles wasn't able to trim the deficit to single-digits for the rest of the game, as the Timberwolves led by as many as 27 points.

LeBron James scored 19 points and grabbed five rebounds, shooting 8-of-18 from the field.

Luka Dončić finished with a game-high 37 points while hitting 54.5 percent of his shots, pulling down eight rebounds.

Both James and Dončić combined to commit nine turnovers compared to a mere four assists, though.

Austin Reaves recorded 16 points, but he was the only other Laker to end the contest with a double-digit scoring total.

Fans and franchise legends weren't satisfied with Los Angeles' performance.

Minnesota thrived from behind the arc, shooting 21-of-42 from three-point territory as a team.

Anthony Edwards overcame an 8-of-22 shooting night to nearly record a triple-double, finishing with 22 points and nine assists to go along with eight rebounds.

As for the Lakers, they'll need to make adjustments in order to avoid facing a 2-0 series deficit before going on the road.
