Scott Foster, Full List of Officials Assigned to 1st Round of 2025 NBA Playoffs

The NBA announced Thursday the 36 officials who have been assigned to work first-round games in the 2024-25 NBA playoffs.

Several notable officials were chosen to officiate the most important games of the year thus far, including veterans Scott Foster, Tony Brothers and Ed Malloy.

NBA President of League Operations Byron Spruell discussed the importance of an official being assigned to postseason games in a press release, saying:

"Serving the game in the playoffs is one of the highest honors as an NBA official. These 36 individuals are essential to the NBA family and have shown persistent dedication to their on-court performance and overall professionalism, leading to this prestigious achievement."

Per the press release, the 36 playoff officials have 17.5 years of NBA experience on average, and 27 of them have five or more years of playoff experience.

Of those 36 officials, Foster has the most playoff experience with 255 games officiated, followed by Marc Davis with 204 and Brothers with 201.

The postseason play-in tournament will conclude Friday with the Atlanta Hawks hosting the Miami Heat and the Memphis Grizzlies hosting the Dallas Mavericks for the No. 8 seed in their respective conferences.

Then, the playoffs will officially begin Saturday with the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Indiana Pacers, Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets, Detroit Pistons vs. New York Knicks and Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Los Angeles Lakers.
