Michigan's Danny Wolf Declares for 2025 NBA Draft, B/R's No. 31 Ranked Player
Michigan big man Danny Wolf has declared for the 2025 NBA draft.
The latest Bleacher Report NBA draft big board lists Wolf as the No. 31 overall prospect in the class of 2025.
Wolf averaged 13.2 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists last season for Michigan after transferring from Yale, where he played the first two years of his collegiate career. The 7'0", 250-pound prospect also shot 49.7 percent from the field and 33.6 percent from three-point range.
Jonathan Wasserman provided a pro comparison to former NBA forward Hedo Türkoğlu and wrote this about Wolf in his latest mock.
"NBA teams covet bigs who can handle, and Danny Wolf's transfer to Michigan has given him the chance to showcase surprising playmaking IQ/skill. He should be able to create advantages at 7'0" with how he's able to drive and pass in ball-screen situations or attack closeouts.
"His shooting development figures to play a key role in his trajectory, and the lack of three-point volume and poor free-throw numbers are worth taking into account.
"For what it's worth, Wolf has been better pulling up from three (than spotting up), a sign he could be more valuable when used as a jumbo playmaker than a stretch big."
Wolf's ability to continue producing impressive numbers against Big Ten competition after doing so versus the Ivy League the previous year could be a big help as well.
Ultimately, any seven-footer who can spread the floor, shoot the three and produce in college is going to get looks, and right now, Wolf looks like a potential fringe first-rounder. We'll see if his stock goes up more as the pre-draft process continues, specifically in May when the NBA Draft Combine takes place. The draft will go down one month after that, beginning on June 25.
