“I’ll be alright," Butler said. "Go home and play some dominoes and drink some coffee that’ll make it feel better.”
The Warriors finished the regular season 48–34, going 23–8 since acquiring Jimmy Butler, but still landed in the NBA play-in tournament following a crucial loss on Sunday.
Butler’s injury sparked concern among Golden State fans ahead of the play-in after he took a knee to the thigh late in the game while driving to the basket and limped through the rest of the contest.
Despite the injury, Butler finished with 30 points and nine assists, while Stephen Curry led the team with 36 points.
The Warriors' ability to withstand pressure came as no surprise to Butler, who said he’s ready to go for Tuesday’s matchup.
"We've all known what everybody can do not just myself," Butler continued. "This is just a really good time of the year for everybody and I'm excited that we all get to showcase our talents again on Tuesday."
