Celtics HC '100%' Confident Jaylen Brown Will Be Ready for NBA Playoffs Despite Injury
Boston Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla doesn't anticipate Jaylen Brown's right knee injury preventing him from appearing in the playoffs.
Mazzulla told reporters on Sunday that he's "a hundred percent" confident that Brown would be ready for the start of the playoffs, per the Associated Press (h/t ESPN).
The four-time All-Star previously received a painkilling injection in his right knee to help prepare for the playoffs.

Brown has appeared on Boston's injury report multiple times with knee issues since Feb. 9, missing 11 of the team's past 28 games.
"Just part of the rehab process for him to get back to be his absolute best," Mazzulla explained, via ESPN. "He's continuing to take care of himself and put himself in great position to be ready for the postseason."
ESPN's Ramona Shelburne reported that Brown was dealing with a bone bruise for "some time," but it seemed to be "causing him more pain recently."
The Celtics are entering the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference, owning a 60-21 record with one regular-season game remaining.
They'll also be attempting to defend their 2024 championship. Brown was a key contributor throughout Boston's 2024 postseason run, earning Finals MVP as well as Eastern Conference Finals MVP honors.
Despite the 28-year-old's limited availability compared to past years, he's remained one of the league's top two-way wings throughout his 2024-25 campaign. In 63 starts, he's averaged 22.2 points and a career-high 4.5 assists per game on 46.3/32.4/76.4 shooting splits.
As the Celtics await their first-round opponent to emerge from the play-in tournament, they should have Brown available once the playoffs begin on Saturday.
