NBA Draft Lottery 2025 Projected Order and Odds for Every Team Involved

Andrew PetersApr 13, 2025

The NBA regular season is in the books which means 14 teams are now shifting focus towards the draft this summer.

Those teams that didn't earn a spot in the postseason will participate in the NBA Draft Lottery and try to earn the coveted No. 1 overall pick.

Now that the lottery teams are set, here's a look at the 14 squads that will be in the mix for the top pick when the lottery takes place on Monday, May 12.

Utah Looking for First Top Pick

    2 of 3
    Chicago Bulls v Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz had their worst season in franchise history this year, but now it could pay off.

The Jazz are one of just eight teams to have never won the lottery, but that could change this year. Thanks to a 17-65 record, Utah has a good chance of winning the top pick in this year's draft.

Just like Victor Wembanyama was the obvious choice to go No. 1 a few years ago, Duke's Cooper Flagg will almost certainly be the first player off the board this year. Flagg has the chance to be a franchise-changing player, so Utah's first-ever first overall pick couldn't come at a better time.

OKC in Lottery Mix Despite Having NBA's Best Record

    3 of 3
Los Angeles Lakers v Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been arguably the best team in the NBA this season, amassing an NBA-best 68-14 record.

Despite being as far from the lottery as possible, the Thunder can claim a handful of top picks in this year's draft after piling up other teams' picks through trades over the last few years.

Oklahoma City has the rights to Philadelphia's first-round pick if its outside of the top six and will also get Utah's first selection if its outside of the top 10. Additionally, the Thunder own the Miami Heat's first-round pick if its outside of the top 14 and has the swap rights to either the Los Angeles Clippers' or Houston Rockets' first-round pick.

Most teams at the top of the standings have to settle for a late first-rounder, but Oklahoma City has been stacking picks for years now. That gives the Thunder the chance to build for the future while boasting one of the best team's in the league.
