Celtics' Jaylen Brown Reportedly Buys $250K Chain with Emerald Ahead of NBA Playoffs
As he pursues his second championship ring with the Boston Celtics, star guard Jaylen Brown has already made a major addition to his jewelry collection.
Per TMZ, Brown purchased a $250,000 chain with a 200-carat Celtic-green emerald in the middle as he prepares for Boston's upcoming playoff run.

TMZ stated that Brown "wanted to get a special accessory to embody his mantra, 'The energy is about to shift,' so he hit up Eric The Jeweler for the job."
In addition to the massive emerald, the expensive chain was made out of 18k rose gold with over 50 carats of white diamonds. The gaudy price tag likely wasn't much of a concern for Brown, who is in the first year of his five-year, $304 million contract extension.
Brown is hoping that the renewed energy from the emerald around his neck helps fuel another run to the NBA Finals for the Celtics, who sit in second place in the Eastern Conference at 59-20. The 28-year-old was named Finals MVP last year after averaging 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.6 steals over the five-game series against the Dallas Mavericks.
