Brunson Makes Injury Return, Knicks Applauded by Fans in Win vs. Suns with Durant Out
Jalen Brunson is back on the court after missing a month of action because of a sprained ankle.
In his return, the fully healthy New York Knicks downed the Phoenix Suns, who were without Kevin Durant, 112-98 on Sunday.
Brunson is clearly still shaking the rust off after missing 15 games, but he still finished with 15 points and six assists in 34 minutes. He also hit a dagger three-pointer in the clutch.
While Brunson re-gained his footing, OG Anunoby continued what has been one of the best stretches of his career. He posted 32 points in the win, hitting six of his eight shots from deep. Karl-Anthony Towns and Mikal Bridges also did their share, putting up 19 and 22 points, respectively.
Fans had high praise for Brunson and the Knicks after getting the win over the Suns despite Devin Booker's 40 points.
The Knicks have just four games left before the playoffs, and they'll have several tests to close out the season. Three of their last four games will be against playoff teams, which should give them the chance to pick up some momentum before the postseason.
