Anthony was a lock when you combine his lone season at Syracuse with his 19 seasons in the NBA and 12-year run with USA Basketball. He was a 10-time All-Star, six -time All-NBA selection and had six top-15 MVP finishes.

One of the most prolific scorers of his era, Anthony ranks 10th in NBA history in career points (28,289). He's tied with Shaquille O'Neal for the most seasons averaging at least 20.0 points per game (14).

Anthony's four Olympic medals (three gold, one bronze) are tied for the most in men's basketball history. His three gold medals are tied with LeBron James for the second-most, trailing only Kevin Durant with four.

Even before his professional career began, Anthony was the driving force behind Syracuse's first—and still only—national title in 2002-03. He was named Final Four Most Outstanding Player after averaging 20.2 points on 47.5 percent shooting and 9.8 rebounds in six tournament games.

Howard is the fourth player drafted right out of high school to be elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame. He joins an exclusive group that includes Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady.

The No. 1 pick by the Orlando Magic in the 2004 NBA draft, Howard was a dominant force right out of the gate. He averaged a double-double as a rookie and had a run of eight consecutive years on the All-Star and All-NBA teams from 2006-07 to 2013-14.

Howard's three Defensive Player of the Year awards are the second-most in NBA history. He is also the only player in league history to win the award in three consecutive seasons (2008-09 to 2010-11).

Bird is one of the most accomplished professional basketball players in history. She had a 25-year run of success from her freshman year at Connecticut in 1998-99 to her final WNBA season in 2022.

The Huskies won two national titles with Bird in 2000 and 2002, the latter being her best season when she was recognized as Naismith College Player of the Year.

Bird was the No. 1 pick by the Seattle Storm in 2002 and spent her entire career with the organization. She was a 13-time All-Star, eight-time All-WNBA selection, received MVP votes in 11 seasons and was on the league's all-time team for its 10-, 15-, 20- and 25-year anniversaries.

The four WNBA titles Bird won are tied with five other players, including Moore, for the second-most in league history. She is the league's all-time leader in career assists (3,234).

This year's class will be officially enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame at a ceremony on Sept. 6.
