Donte DiVincenzo, Ron Holland II Among 7 Ejected After Pistons-Wolves Fight on Video

A handful of players and a coach were ejected from Sunday night's contest between the Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves following a scuffle in the second quarter.

The fight broke out after Timberwolves' Naz Reid and Pistons' Ron Holland exchanged words, leading to a scrapping between almost everyone on the court.

Holland, Isaiah Stewart, Marcus Sasser and head coach J.B. Bickerstaff were ejected on Detroit's side while Reid, Dante Divincenzo and assistant Pablo Prigioni from the Wolves were tossed.

Bickerstaff discussed the matter after the game:

Bickerstaff and Prigioni were not involved in the physical altercation between their players, but exchanged words away from the scuffle, according to the Detroit Free Press' Omari Sankofa.

The Pistons were already short-handed on Sunday with Cade Cunningham, Tobias Harris and Jaden Ivey all ruled out ahead of time, and the ejections left Detroit with just six rotational players left.

The penalties for those ejected are not yet known, but there could be fines and/or suspensions handed out.

It's a pivotal time of year for both squads, and being without key players could be important even if it's just for a game or two. The Pistons are currently in fifth place in the East at 42-32 but are just a game behind the fourth-seeded Indiana Pacers and a game and a half ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Timberwolves are in seventh place in the West at 42-32. They're just half a game back from taking the sixth seed from the Golden State Warriors, but have the same record as the eighth-seeded Los Angeles Clippers.
