Jaxson Dart to Steelers, Tetairoa McMillan to Cowboys in Charles Davis' NFL Mock Draft
The Pittsburgh Steelers are still holding out hope that they will have Aaron Rodgers under center for the 2025 season, but one expert believes they will address the quarterback position in next month's NFL draft.
NFL.com's Charles Davis unveiled his updated mock draft on Thursday and predicted that the Steelers would use the No. 21 pick to select Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart.
"It wasn’t long ago that the Steelers selected Kenny Pickett at No. 20 overall. Three years and one pick later in Round 1, they draft another QB that they believe will be their guy for the future, whether Aaron Rodgers eventually joins them or not," Davis explained.

2025 Draft Picks Ready For Leap 🐸

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Rodgers met with the Steelers last Friday but left the building without a contract. While Pittsburgh appears to be the most likely destination for the 41-year-old, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Thursday's episode of Get Up that there's a belief that he could choose not to play in 2025 at all.
"There are people who believe that he may not play this year. There are people who believe he's waiting to see if something might open down the line in Minnesota with the Vikings, but nobody knows for sure what Aaron Rodgers' game plan is, and for the time being, the Steelers are in the dark," Schefter said.
Pittsburgh could avoid the uncertainty by using their first-round pick to draft a quarterback of the future. Dart has risen up draft boards throughout the offseason, and B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranks him as the No. 4 signal-caller in this year's class.
Elsewhere in Davis' latest mock draft, he projected the Dallas Cowboys to add some juice to their offense by using the No. 12 pick to select Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
"Pro Bowl wide receiver CeeDee Lamb gets a much-needed partner on the perimeter," Davis stated.
McMillan is one of the best players in the entire draft, as B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranks him as the No. 6 overall player and No. 1 wide receiver. His presence would give the Cowboys some extra firepower as they try to bounce back from a disappointing 7-10 finish to the 2024 season.
