Manchester City vs. Real Madrid

The players of Manchester City and Real Madrid will have played at some illustrious venues in their time, but the prospect of running out at the Melbourne Cricket Ground will be something to savour for some of the biggest names in the game.
As we can see here courtesy of former England international rugby player Will Greenwood, City have a pretty substantial supporter base in the Australian city:
It’s a vital game for Manuel Pellegrini’s team, too. Having failed to come close to winning any silverware last season, there will be big expectations accompanying the Etihad outfit in 2015-16. Los Blancos, now headed up by former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez, will provide us with an early indication of their progress.

The atmosphere should be something special, too. The MCG is one of the most famous sporting venues in the world, and with a capacity of around 100,000, the backdrop provided by the football fanatics from Down Under should be a sight to behold.
Naturally, as we can see here courtesy of AS English, Real will also be a major draw:
Those with a ticket for this showdown at the MCG will be in for a huge treat. Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Aguero, Gareth Bale and David Silva are some of the top attacking players in world football, after all; while they’ll be taking this one seriously, expect them all to relish this unique occasion with little pressure on their shoulders.
Chelsea vs. Barcelona

The International Champions Cup is the standout pre-season tournament this summer, and the match that immediately catches the eye among many quality games is the clash between Chelsea and Barcelona.
After signing Radamel Falcao on loan, Jose Mourinho has already made moves to bolster what is an already formidable Blues squad. It remains to be seen whether or not the Colombian will take part, but for anyone in Maryland lucky enough to get down to see this one, there should be no shortage of superstars on show.

Barcelona secured a historic treble last season and will be meticulous in their preparations as always. It’ll be intriguing to see which players take to the field for the Blaugrana in this one, especially after the respective Copa America commitments of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Luis Suarez should be fit to lead the line, though, and he has history with the Blues after infamously biting Branislav Ivanovic during his time with Liverpool. It should add an extra edge to what is already set to be an engrossing friendly encounter.
