Lakers' LeBron Hypes Bronny's Career Night: 'SMILE THROUGH IT ALL YOUNG🤴🏾'

Los Angeles Lakers star and NBA legend LeBron James took to X on Monday night to celebrate a huge performance by his son, Bronny James, in the G League.

In the South Bay Lakers' 122-118 win over the Santa Cruz Warriors, Bronny scored a career-high 39 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and four steals:

Bronny, who was the Lakers' second-round pick in the 2024 NBA draft, has been the subject of plenty of criticism since entering the league due to the belief by some that he was drafted due to nepotism.

He and LeBron made history on opening night, becoming the first father-son duo to share the court in an NBA game.

While it made for a great moment and story, Bronny appeared to be in over his head at the NBA level early in the season, resulting in the Lakers organization deciding to shuttle him between the NBA and G League.

That may have been the best possible move for Bronny's development, as he has thrived for South Bay, averaging 22.4 points, 5.2 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 10 games.

He has also gotten better when given chances in the NBA, as evidenced by his showing against the Milwaukee Bucks last week.

With LeBron and Luka Dončić both out, Bronny played a career-high 30 minutes off the bench and delivered a career-high 17 points, plus five assists and three rebounds.

Bronny has a long way to go before establishing himself as a consistent rotation piece for the Lakers, but LeBron's post and Bronny's performance on Monday night suggest he is on the right path.
