Video: Skip Bayless Responds to Kevin Durant's 'Washed' Comments, Rips Star's Defense

The wait is over, NBA fans.

Skip Bayless finally responded to Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant calling him "washed."

The longtime sports commentator and takes-man reiterated Wednesday his belief that Durant "looks mentally semi-retired." He went on to call out KD's defense with the Suns sitting 26th in defensive rating (116.3), per NBA.com.

While working for ESPN and then Fox Sports, Bayless made plenty of pointed critiques of Durant over the years, and this isn't the first time the 15-time All-Star has taken exception to something that was said.

Bayless calling him "semi-retired" clearly irked Durant, and he shot back by saying, "F--k it, We're both washed, it was a great run."

The remark was seemingly a reference to the fact Bayless left Fox Sports and saw Undisputed's run end last August. He hasn't signed with another media outlet in the months since.

In terms of cultural relevancy, the 73-year-old is probably past his peak in the same way Durant is no longer the elite perennial MVP candidate he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors.

But while Durant's game has clearly declined slightly deeper into his 30s, his posting game remains as sharp as ever. He was arguably the winner from this round against Bayless.
