Stefon Diggs, Amari Cooper Top NFL Landing Spots After Cooper Kupp's Seahawks Contract
The Seattle Seahawks and former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp reached an agreement on a three-year, $45 million deal, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
With that, another veteran wide receiver is off the free agency board. However, others still remain, such as Stefon Diggs and Amari Cooper.
The 31-year-old Diggs, a four-time Pro Bowler and 2020 All-Pro First Teamer, caught 47 passes for 496 yards in eight games for the Houston Texans last season while adding four touchdowns (three receiving, one rushing). Unfortunately, his season ended prematurely due to a torn ACL.
The 30-year-old Cooper, a five-time Pro Bowler, began his 2024 season with the Cleveland Browns before they traded him to the Buffalo Bills. He finished last year with 44 receptions, 547 yards and four scores in 14 games.
Here's a look at their potential top NFL landing spots.
Stefon Diggs

Dallas Cowboys
The Athletic reported that the Dallas Cowboys and Seahawks were "very interested" in Kupp before he chose to go back to his home state and play for Seattle.
It's clear that the Cowboys want a wide receiver, especially considering that Brandin Cooks is a free agent. CeeDee Lamb is the team's obvious No. 1 wideout, averaging 114 catches, 1,434 yards and nine touchdowns over the past three seasons.
Dallas still has Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin, with the former enjoying a nice improvement with more snaps last year (49/610/7). Diggs could turn the Cowboys' wideout room into a real strength, though, if he's added as the No. 2 wide receiver.
He would also play on the same team as his younger brother, cornerback Trevon Diggs.
New England Patriots
This is what New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel had to say about targeting wide receivers when speaking with reporters on Thursday, per Pro Football Talk's Josh Alper, who relayed a team transcript.
“We’ll continue to target. Mack Hollins will be in here tomorrow. He’s a wide receiver. But we’ll continue to look at the wide receiver position as it relates to free agency, explore every option with other teams, and potentially then we’ll get to the point where we’re looking at the draft. There’s just a lot of time, and I know that everybody is like, it’s over in free agency. It’s never over.”
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on The Adam Schefter Podcast on Thursday that the Pats "were willing to go up to" $30 million per year for wide receiver Chris Godwin, but the ex-Penn State star chose to go back to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years and $66 million.
New England had $101.6 million in cap space, per Over the Cap, so there's plenty of room to add a wideout here. Perhaps Diggs, who would be the No. 1 wideout on a New England team that didn't have a receiver amass more than 624 yards last year, could be the answer.
Amari Cooper

Las Vegas Raiders
Might Amari Cooper's career go full circle? The former Alabama star went fourth overall in the 2015 NFL draft to the Raiders, when they played in Oakland. He played three-plus seasons in Oakland before a trade to the Dallas Cowboys.
The Raiders have a need at wideout, especially after parting ways with Davante Adams via trade to the New York Jets last season.
Bill Williamson of Silver and Black Pride made the connection on Wednesday.
"Say what you want, but the former Raiders’ first-round pick is probably the best starting wide receiver on the market and the team is reportedly looking for a starter," Williamson wrote. "Cooper could likely be had for reasonable contract."
The Raiders are rebuilding their offense, beginning with a trade for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith. They have more work to do to fix a team that finished fourth-last in scoring in 2024. Cooper could be an answer.
Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans have lost their leading touchdown scorer, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, to the Miami Dolphins via free agency. Tyler Boyd is a free agent. DeAndre Hopkins, who was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs last season, is now a Baltimore Raven after landing with them in free agency.
Tennessee still has a No. 1 wideout in Calvin Ridley, but the team needs more resources at the position to fill out the room. Cooper is one of the best wide receivers left in free agency, so he could be an option here.
Also, the Titans could use another veteran at the position to help its future signal-caller. Tennessee doesn't have a long-term solution at quarterback on the roster with the team seemingly moving on from 2023 second-round draft pick Will Levis, who was benched last year.
The Titans hold the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft, and Miami's Cam Ward is largely considered the top signal-caller. ESPN's Adam Schefter thinks Ward is the future No. 1 pick, regardless of whether the Titans stay at No. 1 or trade out.
The Titans would ultimately be wise to stick at No. 1, take Ward and hope for the best given their major quarterback questions. And if that's the case, adding a player like Cooper could certainly help Ward's development and progress as he acclimates to the league.
