LeBron James' Heat Jersey from Epic Block in 2013 NBA Finals Expected to Sell for $1M+
The Miami Heat jersey LeBron James wore while denying Tiago Splitter at the rim during the 2013 NBA Finals is expected to sell at auction for more than $1 million, according to Sotheby's.
The jersey is being auctioned in Sotheby's Important Sports Memorabilia sale, which will run through March 25.
James was wearing the jersey when he threw up the iconic block on Splitter in the fourth quarter of Game 2 against the San Antonio Spurs on June 9, 2013. The Heat ultimately won the game 103-84 and tied the series at 1-1.

The Heat went on to win in seven games and claim a second straight title, while James claimed both the regular-season and NBA Finals MVP awards.
The jersey James was wearing during the Heat's Game 7 win over the Spurs on June 20, 2013 sold at Sotheby's in 2023 for $3.7 million. That sale set an auction record for any game-worn James jersey, per Boardroom.
Other items being auctioned alongside James' jersey in the ongoing Sotheby's sale include the hockey stick with which Wayne Gretzky surpassed Phil Esposito's single-season scoring record with his 77th goal of the 1981-82 season, as well as the football with which Tom Brady broke Joe Montana's record with his 12th career Super Bowl touchdown pass in Super Bowl XLIX against the Seattle Seahawks.
James' jersey is currently being exhibited alongside other auction items at Sotheby's in New York City, according to the auction house.
