Shedeur Sanders Says Most Asked NFL Combine Question Was About Not Playing for Deion
NFL draft quarterback prospect Shedeur Sanders opened up about his experience at the scouting combine last month, revealing that he was frequently asked about how he feels about not playing for his legendary father and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders as he makes his transition to the professional level.
Sanders said in a video posted to his YouTube channel that the top two questions he received at the combine were "How's it gonna be when pops not there no more?" and "What type of player are they getting whenever they draft me?"

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Sanders has been coached by his father for his entire football career. Coach Prime served as his offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian School in Texas before becoming his head coach at Jackson State and Colorado.
The tutelage Sanders received from his dad paid off, as he's considered one of the top quarterback prospects in this year's NFL draft class. B/R's NFL Scouting Department ranked him as the No. 2 player at the position behind Miami's Cam Ward in its latest draft big board.
Still, Sanders is ready to emerge from under his father's wing. He said when faced with the questions at the combine, he would say that he and his dad "had a good run, but all good things must come to an end."
The 23-year-old admitted that he'd feel differently if he didn't know the end was coming, but he's been mentally prepared to handle the transition from playing for his father for a while. He also expressed confidence that he has the life tools and has been in enough offenses and situations to be the face of a franchise.
Sanders will have the chance to put any other questions to rest when he shows his skills at Colorado's pro day.
