Joey Bosa's Reported Bills Contract Stuns NFL Fans amid 49ers, Dolphins Rumors
The Buffalo Bills made a major move in an effort to improve their pass rush on Tuesday, signing veteran defensive end Joey Bosa to a one-year, $12.6 million deal, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Bills were in need of another pass-rusher after cutting ties with Von Miller this offseason, and Bosa fit the bill.
Nonetheless, there was mixed reaction on social media after the move:

The Bills were a middle-of-the-pack team in terms of registering sacks last year, with 39, which was tied for 18th in the NFL. Miller provided six of them, and will essentially be replaced by Bosa, who... had one less sack than Miller while playing one more game.
Miller is 35 years old, however, whereas Bosa is just 29. And while Miller has shown pronounced signs of decline in recent seasons, Bosa's main issue has been injuries. The Bills clearly feel that a healthy Bosa is an upgrade.
Given his past success, it's a fair bet to place. The former Los Angles Chargers' edge-rusher is a five-time Pro Bowler who has four seasons of double-digit sacks and 72 career sacks in 107 games.
And because the Bills already have solid options off the edge like Gregory Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa, they can use Bosa in more of a situational pass-rusher role, which should limit some of the wear and tear he takes.
For Buffalo, the goal remains the same—win a Super Bowl. And to do so, they have to get by the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes. And the best way to do that is by consistently generating pressure with just four rushers, as the Philadelphia Eagles made clear in the Super Bowl.
The hope is that Bosa will help in that regard.
