Report: Evan Engram to Visit Chargers amid Broncos Contract Rumors After Jaguars Exit
Tight end Evan Engram is drawing interest from the AFC West after his release from the Jacksonville Jaguars last week.
According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the 30-year-old is visiting with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday after previously taking a visit with the Denver Broncos.
Engram is a two-time Pro Bowler and one of the better receiving tight ends in football when healthy. A torn labrum limited him to just nine games in 2024, however, and he posted 47 catches for 365 yards and a touchdown.

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Given a $19.7 million cap hit and questions about his fit in new head coach Liam Coen's offense, Engram was released by the Jaguars, saving them $5.9 million in the process.
The Jaguars have been busy reshaping the roster this offseason, as they also traded Christian Kirk to the Houston Texans and saw center Mitch Morse retire.
The Jags haven't been shy in free agency, signing players like wideout Dyami Brown, cornerback Jourdan Lewis, safety Eric Murray and a trio of offensive lineman in Patrick Mekari, Robert Hainsey and Chuma Edoga, among others.
The Broncos, meanwhile, made sense as Engram suitors, with the team dramatically needing more weapons in the passing game for Bo Nix. Head coach Sean Payton has long held an affinity for solid receiving tight ends, so upgrading the position was always expected this offseason.
The Chargers could use more weapons as well.
While Ladd McConkey had a fantastic rookie season and Quentin Johnston made strides in his sophomore campaign, the Chargers still need more options for Justin Herbert in the passing game. Engram would undoubtedly be an upgrade in that regard over the team's current tight ends, Will Dissly and Stone Smartt.
The Chargers have already made a few key moves, re-signing Khalil Mack and adding running back Najee Harris and cornerback Donte Jackson. Engram would be another splashy, yet sensible, addition.
