Dallas Goedert, Eagles Reportedly Agree to Reworked Contract amid Trade Rumors
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Goedert have reportedly agreed to a contract that will keep the tight end with the defending Super Bowl champions in 2025, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
ESPN's Field Yates reported Goedert's new deal will pay him $10 million, with another $1 million available in incentives. He was originally scheduled to earn $14 million in 2025.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane first reported that "all signs point to a resolution with Goedert remaining in midnight green." McLane added that Goedert "has been at the NovaCare Complex working out and participating in spring workouts."
Goedert has played all seven of his NFL seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, who selected him out of South Dakota State with the 49th overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.
He's been a productive player for Philadelphia, who initially added him to serve behind tight end Zach Ertz. When Ertz and the Eagles parted ways, Goedert became the team's unquestioned TE1.
Over seven seasons, Goedert has produced a 17-game average of 64 catches, 747 yards and four touchdowns, per Pro Football Reference. For his career, Goedert has caught 349 passes for 4,085 yards and 24 touchdowns. He's added 52 receptions for 562 yards and four scores in the playoffs.
Last year, Goedert missed three regular-season games with a hamstring injury and four more with a knee injury, but he still finished with 42 catches for 496 yards and two scores. He then led the team in receiving (215 yards and a touchdown on 17 receptions) during its march to the Super Bowl.
Goedert has missed 15 games over three years due to various injuries, but that hasn't prevented him from being a productive member of the Eagles when healthy. He's also contributed to both of the team's runs to the Super Bowl in 2022 (16/141/1) and 2024.
Goedert originally signed a four-year, $57 million extension in 2021 that ran through the 2025 season.
During the offseason, word emerged that the Eagles could be looking to trade Goedert, per NFL insider Josina Anderson.
According to McLane, "Goedert had opportunities to leave, but the tight and the Eagles ultimately decided the best course of action was to work on a new deal that keeps him in Philly for the foreseeable future."
Whether Goedert's tenure in Philly extends beyond 2025 remains to be seen, but his return will offer continuity to the Jalen Hurts-led offense that's looking to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
