Tyler Lockett Announces Titans Contract Reportedly Worth $4M After Seahawks Release
For the first time in his career, Tyler Lockett will suit up for a team other than the Seattle Seahawks.
Following his release from the Seahawks in March, the receiver inked a deal with the Tennessee Titans. He announced the move on social media on Wednesday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Lockett signed a one-year, $4 million deal worth up to $6 million.
Lockett spent 10 years with the Seahawks, ending his tenure as the franchise's second-leading receiver only behind Steve Largent. He recorded 1,000 or more yards in each season from 2019 to 2022. He earned All-Pro honors in 2015 and Second-team All-Pro honors in 2016 and 2017.
He wasn't the prolific receiver he once was in his final season in Seattle, recording just 600 yards and two touchdowns on 49 receptions, though he still served as a good third option behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and DK Metcalf.
Tennessee likely signed the 32-year-old with the expectation that he's not going to be the team's first option, but he'll likely still be a reliable target and veteran presence in the locker room.
Another plus in adding Lockett is his durability. The veteran has never missed more than one game in a season, and that ability to stay healthy is tremendously valuable in the NFL, especially for receivers.
Lockett had an outstanding run with Seattle. Now he'll look to have a strong second act with the Titans.
Tennessee has the No. 1 pick on Thursday's NFL Draft, and all signs point to the Titans taking quarterback Cam Ward with that pick. If Tennessee takes Ward, having a veteran receiver like Lockett to throw to should make the transition from the college game to the NFL somewhat easier.
Lockett might not turn the Titans into a championship contender, but his presence should help them in their rebuild.
