Long-time NBA center Meyers Leonard announced his retirement from basketball on Monday in a social media thread.
Leonard, 33, last played for the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2022-23 season, averaging 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in nine total appearances.
In total, he averaged 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in stints with the Portland Trail Blazers (2012-13 to 2018-19), Miami Heat (2019-20 to 2020-21), Oklahoma City Thunder (2020-21) and the Bucks.
The former first-round pick largely served as a backup center in his professional career after two college seasons at Illinois.
