Pistons' 8-Game Win Streak Would've Won Bettors $8,551 on Rolling $100 Wager
The Detroit Pistons' eight-game win streak would have generated a hefty profit for fans rolling over a wager on the team's moneyline.
A $100 moneyline rollover starting from the beginning of the streak would have paid out $8,551 following the Pistons' latest triumph, a 117-97 blowout victory over the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.
The Pistons improved to 33-26, owning the No. 6 spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They're attempting to make their first playoff appearance since the 2018-19 season.
Detroit's eight consecutive wins are the team's most since the 2007-08 season.
The Pistons have thrived on both sides of the ball during the streak, owning the No. 1 defensive rating and No. 4 offensive rating in the league over their past eight games (via NBA.com).
The overall turnaround from Detroit is especially impressive considering the team sat at just 14-68 last season, which represented the worst record in the association.
Cade Cunningham's breakout year has been a key reason for the Pistons' success, with the combo guard earning the first All-Star appearance of his career.
In 54 starts this season, he's averaging 25.7 points and 9.5 assists per game on 45.9/36.3/85.1 shooting splits.
Detroit will now attempt to extend its win streak to nine games against the Denver Nuggets on Friday night. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. ET.
