Shedeur Sanders Arm Strength Concerns Downplayed by Titans GM amid NFL Draft Rumors
Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi says he isn't concerned about Shedeur Sanders' arm strength as he decides what to do with the No. 1 pick of the 2025 NFL draft.
"I think he has plenty of arm strength," Borgonzi told reporters Tuesday (h/t ESPN's Turron Davenport). "Some of the anticipatory throws sometimes make up for the lack of arm strength."

Borgonzi continued: "We've certainly seen quarterbacks over the years that are able to do them because they anticipate better. A lot of that has to do with field instincts, too. If a player has a really good field vision and instincts, and has a feel for it to anticipate some of those throws.
"There's been successful quarterbacks that really haven't had great arm talent, and they played in the league."
Titans head coach Brian Callahan has also previously defended Sanders' arm strength by comparing him to Joe Burrow when speaking to Davenport from the Senior Bowl in Alabama.
"People had questions about Burrow's arm strength in general coming out," Callahan said earlier this month, per Davenport. "One of the things that's makes Joe so unique, and I think you can probably put Shedeur in the same conversation. ... They anticipate when they throw it, they have the timing and accuracy on top of it. That makes up for the arm strength."
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport recently reported Sanders will not work out at the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis but will throw during Colorado's pro day next month.
Sanders, who set an FBS record by completing 71.8 percent of his passes through two seasons at Colorado, has previously referred to his decision-making as his strongest asset as a quarterback. He will now look to show that to scouts in a slightly more controlled environment as he throws to wide receivers with whom he has experience in Boulder.
Borgonzi will meanwhile decide whether or not to keep or trade the top pick in the upcoming draft. He told reporters Tuesday the Titans have received calls, and will listen to offers, regarding the No. 1 pick, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
