Andre Iguodala's No. 9 jersey was officially retired by the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.

Following the Warriors' 126-102 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, they held a ceremony raising Iguodala's number to the Chase Center rafters. This included a video tribute for the 2015 NBA Finals MVP.

Stephen Curry spoke at the event, while Iguodala addressed the crowd himself. Mavericks guard Klay Thompson also made an appearance to support his former teammate.

Iguodala became the seventh player in Warriors history to have his number retired by the organization.

He joined the team in a sign-and-trade agreement in July 2013 and served as a key contributor for Golden State off the bench throughout its stretch of three championships from the 2014-15 season through the team's 2017-18 campaign.

The former All-Star spent two years in Miami from 2019-21 before joining the Warriors to win a fourth title in 2022.

Iguodala averaged 6.9 points and 3.8 rebounds per game on 48.0/33.2/63.8 shooting splits during his tenure in Golden State, but his impact went beyond the box score.

His ability to guard multiple positions and remain an athletic finisher at the rim made him a perfect fit alongside Curry, Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.

Golden State faced a 2-1 series deficit in the 2015 NBA Finals, but the team went on to win three consecutive games after Iguodala replaced Andrew Bogut in head coach Steve Kerr's starting lineup to primarily guard LeBron James.

Iguodala ranks No. 9 on the Warriors' all-time playoff scoring and rebounds lists, while his 383 postseason assists are the third-most in franchise history.

He served as a crucial part of several championship-winning teams in Golden State, and he was recognized for his efforts with his jersey retirement on Sunday.
