NBA Fans Hail Jimmy Butler's Impact After Steph Curry, Warriors Beat Kyrie, Klay, Mavs
The Golden State Warriors won their third consecutive game on Sunday, securing a 126-102 blowout victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
Golden State's star duo of Jimmy Butler and Stephen Curry continued to excel, with both players making their presence felt during the lopsided win.
Butler made the most of his home debut at Chase Center as he finished with 18 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal while shooting 5-9 from the field.
Although it's important not to put too much stock into the plus-minus of a single game, it's still worth noting that the Warriors outscored the Mavericks by 28 points in Butler's 28 minutes on the floor.
Curry recorded 30 points in just three quarters of action. He also dished out seven assists and grabbed four rebounds, shooting 3-8 from behind the arc and pulling out his signature celebration before the start of the fourth.
The Warriors improved to 5-1 since Butler made his debut after he was acquired from the Miami Heat in a five-team swap prior to the trade deadline.
Fans were impressed with his impact on his new teammates.
The Mavericks experienced issues defensively throughout the contest, as Anthony Davis missed his fifth consecutive game due to a left adductor strain.
Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson both struggled to find any type of scoring rhythm, combining to shoot just 10-27 from the field. Irving finished with 17 points and six rebounds, while Thompson scored 11 points and picked up two steals.
The Warriors improved to 30-27 with the win, now sitting just 0.5 games behind the Mavericks for the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference standings.
