Luka Doncic's 1st Week with Lakers After Trade Chronicled in Behind-the-Scenes Video
The Los Angeles Lakers provided a glimpse into Luka Dončić's introduction to life in purple and gold following his blockbuster trade from the Dallas Mavericks.
The team shared a video Wednesday that included behind-the-scenes footage of him first touching down in L.A. on Feb 2 through his on-court debut in a 132-113 win over the Utah Jazz on Feb. 10.
Even weeks after it happened, the move for Dončić still may not feel real for a lot of fans. He has made just two appearances for the Lakers, and they've been careful in managing his workload after he was out with a calf strain. The five-time All-Star played a total of 47 minutes in the pair of matchups with Utah.
We're still waiting to see the full effect of Luka and LeBron James competing on the same team.
The good news is that head coach JJ Redick doesn't expect Dončić to be on a minutes restriction starting with Wednesday's game against the Charlotte Hornets.
As this is the first night of a back-to-back—the Lakers play the Portland Trail Blazers on the road Thursday—Redick still might still be a little cautious with Luka's playing time.
