Daniel Jeremiah 'Wouldn’t Be Shocked If' Raiders Pass on QB in 1st Round of NFL Draft
The Las Vegas Raiders might pass on the chance to take a quarterback with the No. 6 pick of the 2025 NFL draft.
NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah wrote Tuesday that he "wouldn't be shocked" if the Raiders waited until Round 2 to select a signal-caller.
The No. 6 pick marks the Raiders' highest selection since they drafted defensive end Clelin Ferrell at No. 4 in 2019.

The Raiders have nine other picks, including the fifth selection in the second round (No. 37 overall).
ESPN's Adam Schefter said in a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show that he believes the Raiders will "make a play" for Sam Darnold if the Minnesota Vikings allow him to hit free agency.
The Raiders have also been named a potential destination for Aaron Rodgers following his split from the New York Jets.
The Raiders are heading into the offseason with more than $92 million in cap space, second to only the New England Patriots for the most room in the NFL, according to Over the Cap. That could potentially help Las Vegas win a bidding war for a veteran signal-caller who could serve as a bridge quarterback while the franchise develops a potential Day 2 pick.
The Raiders could then use their No. 6 overall pick to target other areas of need within their offense, such as their offensive line or their running and receiving corps.
There are just over two months remaining before the 2025 NFL draft begins on April 24 in Green Bay.
