As the NBA introduces yet another new format for the All-Star Game this year, some of the league's biggest stars advocated for a more simple solution.

Per ESPN's Tim Bontemps, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo expressed his desire to partake in a one-on-one tournament during All-Star Weekend:

Antetokounmpo wasn't alone in his wishes, as Dallas Mavericks star point guard Kyrie Irving also told Rachel Nichols that he would welcome the opportunity to face his fellow All-Stars in a one-on-one format:

This year's All-Star Game will feature a four-team tournament with three teams of All-Stars and the winner of Friday's Rising Stars Game. The three teams were drafted by Inside the NBA hosts Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal.

In addition to a one-on-one tournament, the idea of "Team USA vs. the World" format was also floated. Antetokounmpo told reporters that he would be interested in that approach.

"I would love that. I think that would be the most interesting, exciting format. That would give me extra juice to compete," Antetokounmpo said, per Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports.
