Rob McElhenney Offers to Pay Jalyx Hunt's Super Bowl Celebration Fine After Eagles Win
Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jalyx Hunt received a generous offer to pay a fine he incurred during the team's Super Bowl LIX victory.
Actor Rob McElhenney, a Philadelphia native who stars in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, reached out on social media to cover the cost of Hunt's fine for celebrating a sack in the second quarter of the Eagles' 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
"I’ll pay this fine," McElhenney wrote. "Worth every penny."

Hunt received an unsportsmanlike conduct fine of $5,690 from the NFL for a bow-and-arrow celebration after helping bring down Patrick Mahomes.
The 23-year-old finished with two tackles and 0.5 sacks against Kansas City.
Hunt responded to the support from McElhenney and other Eagles fans in his own social media post. He made a deal to pay the fine himself while redirecting the money sent from others to a cause organized by Barbers Who Care, which helps Boys' Latin of Philadelphia High School students go on college tours.
McElhenney obliged, paying the exact fine amount to the group.
Hunt, a third-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, is coming off a rookie season in which he shined on special teams and gradually carved out a role in Philadelphia's defense as the year progressed.
In 16 regular-season appearances, he racked up 21 tackles, three quarterback hits, two forced fumbles and 1.5 sacks.
