Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley Pre-Game Super Bowl Speeches to Eagles Revealed in Video
The Philadelphia Eagles were confident ahead of their Super Bowl thrashing of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Saquon Barkley reflected that in his remarks to the team on the day before the 40-22 victory.
"As I watched film throughout the whole week, my confidence has grown even more, and I hope you guys are feeling the same thing," Barkley said in a new video shared by the Eagles (4:18 mark). "These guys can't f--k with us."

Jaguars' Hypothetical Alvin Kamara Trade Offer
Quarterback Jalen Hurts, meanwhile, had revenge and redemption on his mind after losing in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs two seasons ago.
"The last time being here, that s--t changed my life. It changed my life and it changed my mentality, it changed everything. For so long, I was thinking, 'What would I do when I got this moment again? What would I do when this opportunity met me again? On the biggest stage, everbody watching.' And I didn't get benched, I put on a good show. And I couldn't have done that without you guys. But I left that motherf--ker so empty. Don't s--t else matter but winning."
Offensive tackle Lane Johnson expressed both confidence and a desire for revenge in his remarks.
"They're a finesse team... man for man, they're not just going to let us just tee off on them, because they will get f--ked up," he said. "And they're gonna get f--ked up tomorrow. Just remember them f--king shirts ['0 sacks'] they had on at their parade a few years ago. Keep that in mind as y'all keep annihilating his ass tomorrow."
But it was safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson with the best quote of them all.
"We ain't got to say s--t if we win it," he said. "Because our story is gonna tell itself."
So it will. That story is about a loaded Eagles team that took its revenge on Kansas City, dominating with an incredible pass rush, timely turnovers and a fantastic performance from Hurts. The Eagles romped through the NFC Championship Game and Super Bowl, beating the Washington Commanders and Chiefs by a remarkable 95-45 margin.
And two of those Chiefs' touchdowns came in garbage time, with the backups inserted into the game. The final score was not an indication of how utterly one-sided the game was through 3.5 quarters, or just how badly they flummoxed the normally unflappable Mahomes.
The Eagles believed they could dominate. They wanted to dominate after coming up just short two years ago. And so dominate they did.
