GOAT is scheduled to hit theaters on Feb. 13, 2026. The 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend is set to take place in Los Angeles that weekend.
The film is being made by Sony Pictures Animation in collaboration with the NBA, according to Deadline's Anthony D'Alessandro.
Curry is involved in producing the film through Unanimous Media, the multimedia production company Curry and Erick Peyton founded in 2018.
The plot of the film has not yet been released, but Curry and Peyton said in a joint statement last May the film features "diverse characters and heartwarming storylines that will have you rooting for the underdog.”
Curry has other producer credits, including Netflix's 2024 animated reboot of the comedy Good Times and the 2024 Peacock comedy Mr. Throwback, in which he also stars.
