Victor Wembanyama 'Definitely Not Here to Make Friends' at 2025 NBA All-Star Game
San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama plans to bring some competitive fire to NBA All-Star weekend.
According to Ben Golliver of the Washington Post, Wembanyama suggested Saturday that the All-Star Game won't be a proverbial walk in the park for him, saying, "The goal is not to chill, for sure."
Per ESPN's Michael C. Wright, Wembanyama followed that up by saying, "Iโm definitely not here to make friends."

1 Immediate Thing Every Team Would Do In FA ๐
This year's All-Star Game will feature a new four-team tournament format.
Three of the teams are made up of All-Stars who were drafted to teams led by Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith, while former WNBA icon Candace Parker will guide the winning team from Friday's Rising Stars Challenge.
Wembanyama will be part of Chuck's Global Stars team along with Nikola Jokiฤ, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Pascal Siakam, Alperen ลengรผn, Karl-Anthony Towns and Donovan Mitchell.
The 21-year-old Wembanyama is making his NBA All-Star Game debut Sunday in San Francisco after being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft.
Wemby dominated as a rookie en route to NBA Rookie of the Year honors and a second-place finish in Defensive Player of the Year voting, and he has been even better during his sophomore season.
The 7'3" Frenchman is averaging 24.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.8 blocks, 3.7 assists, 3.1 three-pointers made and 1.1 steals per game on the year.
Wembanyama is arguably the most versatile player in the NBA, and his skill set should be enough to put him in the All-Star Game MVP conversation regardless of how competitive the environment is.
