Report: Adoree' Jackson, Eagles Agree to Contract in Free Agency After Giants Stint

Paul KasabianMar 13, 2025

Free agent cornerback Adoree' Jackson has agreed to a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, per Fox Sports' Jordan Schultz.

Last season, the 29-year-old Jackson played 14 games for the New York Giants, starting five. He amassed 28 tackles (18 solo), five pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Per Pro Football Reference, opposing quarterbacks completed 20-of-41 passes in his direction for 287 yards and two touchdowns (88.2 quarterback rating).

Jackson has played eight NFL seasons—four with the Tennessee Titans and four on the Giants. He joined Tennessee as the No. 17 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft after arriving from USC.

Jackson enjoyed a solid rookie season with a career-high 17 pass breakups and three forced fumbles alongside 70 tackles.

Unfortunately, injuries befell Jackson at various points during his Titans tenure, including in 2020, when he missed the first 13 games of the season with a knee injury.

The 28-year-old later landed with Big Blue before the 2021 season on a three-year, $39 million contract.

Jackson served as the Giants' No. 1 cornerback for part of his tenure.

In 2021, Jackson only allowed 9.3 yards per completion. In 2022, Jackson allowed just 51.7 percent of passes thrown his way to be completed.

Then 2023 was a tough season for Jackson, who allowed 65.9 percent of completed passes in his direction (second-worst in his career), a 95.5 passer rating (career-worst) and 13.0 yards per completion (career-worst), per Pro Football Reference.

After the 2023 season, Jackson was a free agent, but he re-signed with the G-Men on a one-year deal on Sept. 1, 2024.

He certainly fared better last year, and now he's parlayed his season into a new deal with Philadelphia, which needed more help at cornerback after parting ways Darius Slay Jr., who signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
