Ben Affleck to Produce New Movie on Chuck Blazer, FIFA Corruption Scandal
Whatever comes of Ben Affleck's cinematic endeavor to portray the FIFA corruption scandal on the big screen, we're willing to bet it will fare better than FIFA's extremely ill-fated United Passions.
Affleck will produce a film alongside director Gavin O'Connor to chronicle the scandal that's rocked football's governing body over the past few months, according to the Hollywood Reporter (h/t the Guardian). Affleck's good friend and frequent collaborator Matt Damon will also be involved with the Warner Brothers project.
The film will revolve around the activities of former CONCACAF executive Chuck Blazer, who padded his wallet over television deals and bribes before ultimately becoming an FBI informant in 2013 as part of a plea deal.

Blazer was front and centre in the probe that ultimately led to the arrests of more than a dozen FIFA officials.
He's also a huge Star Wars fan.
Ideas are already rolling in on who should play Blazer in the Hollywood flick.
