USA Gold Cup Roster 2015: Final 23-Man Squad and Starting 11 Projections
United States men's national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann named his 23-man roster for the upcoming Gold Cup on Thursday, with few surprises in the unit.
The most interesting omissions were on defense, where Klinsmann left off DaMarcus Beasley—who had come out of retirement to be on the provisional roster—former mainstay at centre-back Matt Besler and Brek Shea, who has converted to full-back.
You can see the full roster below, per USSoccer.com.

Klinsmann spoke about his selections, via Brian Straus of SI.com:
"Our approach for putting together the roster for this summer’s Gold Cup, which is very, very important to us, is obviously to do everything possible to win this competition. Going into a Gold Cup, especially in our region here, experience means a lot. You need players that stay calm in very emotional and very difficult and very tough battles. It can get nasty. Things might not go your way in some moments. So you have to stay cool and you have to always be on top of things.
"
Doug McIntyre of ESPN FC has more on the group:
Klinsmann indeed stuck with plenty of known commodities, with players such as Fabian Johnson, Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey set to lead the way. Dempsey will be available for the first game, since he will have served his three-game suspension from MLS in advance of the tournament.

The United States will head into the Gold Cup as the favorites, with a deep group in the midfield and a roster that includes 17 players from the 2014 World Cup and 10 players who have won Gold Cups in the past. Having players like Altidore and Dempsey healthy together is a major plus, while Klinsmann will have plenty of permutations in the midfield to mix-and-match depending on the opponent.
