Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo Headline 2014-15 La Liga XI
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo lead the attack for La Liga's XI for the 2014-15 campaign, but a number of glaring omissions will surely have fans debating the merits of this year's Team of the Season.
A total of six players represent champions Barcelona along with manager Luis Enrique, but there was no room in the squad for Neymar or Luis Suarez. Instead, Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann joins Messi and Ronaldo in the attack. Bleacher Report UK shared this image of the side:

Claudio Bravo, Dani Alves, Gerard Pique, Jordi Alba and Ivan Rakitic all saw their excellent campaigns rewarded with a spot on the team, and per AS, Enrique was chosen as manager by the writers of the LFP's official website.
There are just two Real Madrid stars in the squad, with James Rodriguez joining Ronaldo, while Grzegorz Krychowiak is the only representative of Europa League winners Sevilla. Valencia's Nicolas Otamendi completes the team.
As one might expect, the exclusion of Neymar and Suarez didn't sit well with some fans. Brazilian football expert Zizouology couldn't believe Rodriguez was given a spot over the Selecao star:
"Laughable not to include Neymar, and James Rodríguez gets the spot instead. A country mile separates the quality of both.

But with six representatives already, it's hard to argue Barcelona weren't given a fair shake by the voters. Griezmann had a phenomenal season for Atletico and deserves to be in the squad, while Rodriguez's first year in La Liga was more than promising.
