The Americans in particular have impressed at the World Cup, largely thanks to their talented midfielders Emerson Hyndman and Gedion Zelalem.
The London-based pair ply their trades at Fulham and Arsenal respectively, and their partnership allows the USA to dominate possession and the game's tempo.

Zelalem believes the pair operate effectively together. According to USSoccer.com, he said after beating hosts New Zealand: "I think me and Emerson combined very well. He’s a pleasure to play with. We’ve played two games but I feel like we’ve played together a year or two."
Hyndman keeps play ticking over nicely with his boundless energy and movement, but Zelalem is the player Serbia really need to be wary of.
The playmaker is central to the US's attacking threat, and his ability to read the game and pick his passes belies his tender years. The 18-year-old impressed once again in the 1-0 win over Colombia:
To stop the USA, Serbia will need to stop Zelalem.
Serbia have lost just one game at the tournament so far thanks to their defensive solidity and physical presence.
The Serbs also possess great technical ability, too.
Attacking midfielder Andrija Zivkovic is in excellent form having enjoyed a breakthrough season with Partizan Belgrade. The 18-year-old scored five goals for the Serbian champions and became the club's youngest-ever captain.
The youngster has carried this form into the World Cup, scoring a magnificent free-kick against Mexico:
Veljko Paunovic's side are more than a match for Tab Ramos' USA, and their clash is sure to be a thrilling, no-holds barred showdown.
Both teams are technically gifted and willing to get forward, so expect an end-to-end affair with plenty of chances created on both sides.
There's little to separate these two sides, but Serbia's athleticism could prove the difference as the game wears on.
Prediction: Serbia 3-2 USA (AET)
