Gianni VerschuerenJun 9, 2015

France and England will meet in an all-European clash at the 2015 Women's World Cup on Tuesday June 6, and BBC Sport and Fox Sports will provide full coverage of this Group F clash, set to kick off at 6 p.m. BST.

Both teams will fancy their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages after impressive showings during qualifiers, but with Mexico and Colombia also drawn into Group F, the road to the next round won't be easy.

France are seen as potential tournament winners, while England have been in impressive form of late. Here's the full viewing info for Tuesday's match:

Preview

Both England and France are expected to progress from Group F, but there will be plenty at stake on Tuesday, regardless. The winners of Group F can expect a relatively easy match in the next round, while the runners-up will likely face either Germany or Norway, the two finalists of Euro 2013.

Les Bleus are the favourites, convincingly beating England at Euro 2013, and with a nice blend of experience and young talent in the squad, they're expected to make a deep run in the tournament.

Louisa Necib is undoubtedly their biggest star player, drawing comparisons to Zinedine Zidane for her playing style in the centre of the pitch. ESPN W ranked her sixth in their top 10 players to watch, and for good reason:

Bleacher Report's Michael Cummings also highlighted the 28-year-old while ranking the top contenders for the world title, acknowledging the team has been in fantastic form of late:

This team has beaten the USA, Brazil and Japan in the past year, and they appear ready to make a big splash in this tournament.

England cruised through qualifiers, winning all of their matches, and while they showed some weaknesses against the USA in a recent friendly, the squad has more than enough talent to upset France.

Manager Mark Sampson believes the side are in a profitable position ahead of the tournament, per Sky Sports (via audioBoom):

Jordan Nobbs has fully established herself as one of the world's top players, an impressive feat for a 22-year-old, and she'll be the team's vice-captain for this tournament. As shared by the team's official Twitter account, she plans to take full advantage of the experience in the squad to fulfil her duties:

England have never beaten France at a major tournament, but France have never qualified for a World Cup final. Necib may be the best central midfielder in the world, but she has at times failed to make her mark on the biggest stage and will have to shed that label during the 2015 World Cup.

This first match will show us whether France's superb form in their friendly matches can carry over into a major tournament, and whether England are ready to deal with the absence of the recently retired Kelly Smith.

France knocked England out of the 2011 World Cup and Euro 2013, so you can be sure the latter side will be seeking redemption. There's a lot of talent in the side, and Eniola Aluko could be primed for a massive breakout tournament.

That being said, this French squad may be the only one in the tournament that can rival Germany in terms of pure quality. Wendi Richard is a world-class defender who should control the English attack, and with Necib and Eugenie Sommer pulling the strings in midfield, there's just too much talent for this young England team to handle.

Final Prediction: France 2-0 England
