The USA travelled to Amsterdam for a testing friendly against the Netherlands and found themselves down 1-0 when new Manchester United signing Memphis Depay crossed for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar to head home.

Undeterred, however, the USA got an equaliser through a deft finish from Gyasi Zardes.

In the second half, Huntelaar bagged a second headed goal, restoring the home side's lead:
