It’s an intriguing clash of styles and should add further intrigue to an occasion that’s not to be missed by those who love the beautiful game. Here’s all the information you need on where to catch the match and a closer examination of these two wonderful teams on the cusp of the contest.

Here’s a look at how the two teams are set to line up in Berlin:

History Beckons for Barcelona and Juventus

Given the illustrious history of each side, fans of Barcelona and Juventus may feel as though their respective teams have underachieved when it comes to the European Cup.
Between them, these two European juggernauts have won the continent's biggest prize on a meagre six occasions—Barca with four and the Bianconeri with just two—despite possessing some of the finest players and most encapsulating teams ever to grace the sport.

Bleacher Report’s Sam Tighe took a closer look at what a win in this match would mean for Barcelona:
It’s what makes Saturday's showdown all the more intriguing, with each side desperate to etch their name into the distinguished annals of the game, as a treble-winning team no less.
For Juventus, it’d be a remarkable feat. Given the apprehension that greeted the departure of Antonio Conte and subsequent appointment of Massimiliano Allegri ahead of this season, the manner in which the Bianconeri has swept all before them is simply sensational. Indeed, the former Milan boss now has the chance to take the final step Conte never could.

However, as noted by James Tyler of ESPN, the Italian coach will have his work seriously cut out to stop Barcelona’s stunning attacking threesome:
The addition of Luis Suarez last summer may have made this Blaugrana side a little more raw, but when they go forward, they’re thrilling to watch. The Uruguayan’s relentlessness, the dazzling skills of Neymar and the irrepressible majesty of Lionel Messi is enough to tie any defence in knots, and since the trio clicked, no side has been able to stop them.

What adds the gloss to this phenomenal triumvirate is that all three players are thoroughbred goalscorers, too, as we can see here courtesy of Football_Tweet:
In fairness, if any side can nullify their influence, it’s probably Juve. Not only do the Bianconeri possess some wily old heads in Gianluigi Buffon, Patrice Evra and Andrea Barzagli, but in midfield they marry industry and intricacy magnificently.

As Buffon made abundantly clear in the build-up to this encounter, per the tournament’s official Twitter account, there is a magnificent team spirit in the Juventus camp, too:
Those expecting the Italian champions to be swatted aside by Barcelona’s attacking riches are likely to be disappointed. The Bianconeri are a formidable outfit based on rock-solid foundations, with energy all over the pitch and the winning mentality to haul themselves to what would be a famous victory.

But as we can see here courtesy of barcastuff (h/t barcastat), the Catalonian club’s own defensive effort has been somewhat understated this season:
"Fewest goals conceded per game this season: Barcelona 0.63 - Monaco 0.64 - Juventus 0.66 - Bayern 0.69 - Atletico 0.77 [via @barcastat]
— barcastuff (@barcastuff) June 3, 2015"
Indeed, players like Gerard Pique, Javier Mascherano, Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic have all enjoyed brilliant seasons, giving the team’s offensive talent the licence to play with their patented freedom. So if this match does become a battle, this Barcelona team, perhaps unlike some others before it, will be up for the fight.

With that in mind, the mercurial talents of the front three are likely to come to the fore and see Barcelona edge this one. Messi in particular has been in stunning form as of late, and given his patent for affecting massive games with moments of undiluted genius, expect Barcelona’s talisman to have another decisive say.
Prediction: Barcelona 2-1 Juventus
