College Football's Most Important Offers of the Week
Throughout his coaching career, Texas head coach Charlie Strong has gained a strong reputation as a recruiter in the hotbed of South Florida.
Last year, the Longhorns were able to sign four players from the Sunshine State—including a pair of products from Miami.
The Longhorns are out to make some noise in Florida in the 2016 cycle, and they took a big step in that direction by handing out offers to a pair of prep teammates at American Heritage High School in Fort Lauderdale.
According to Taylor Gaspar of Orangebloods, the Longhorns tendered 3-star defensive end Brian Burns and 3-star tight end Nick Eubanks.
Burns exploded onto the scene as a junior after racking up 75 tackles, including 17.5 for loss with 12 sacks.
The 6’5”, 212-pounder has more than 20 offers with schools such as Alabama, Florida, Miami and South Carolina showing strong interest in him.
Meanwhile, Eubanks is an intriguing 6’6”, 215-pounder who counts Alabama and LSU among the early favorites in his recruitment.
Eubanks averaged nearly 16 yards per catch as a junior and brings a nice blend of size and athleticism to the tight end position.
While the Longhorns are just getting involved with both players, it appears that Texas is making a concerted effort to recruit the state of Florida.
Jayvaughn Myers Nets Big Offers
When 5-star receiver Nate Craig-Myers decommitted from Auburn last month, Florida State was widely assumed to be the new favorite for his services.
The battle between the Seminoles and Tigers just got a little more interesting since both schools offered his brother—2016 3-star corner Jayvaughn Myers—last week.
"Its real big to me," Myers told Chris Nee of Noles247 about the FSU offer. "I think because I waited so long for this offer and I love going up there to FSU."
Since both schools are still heavily involved with his brother, the recruitment of both players will carry a heavy dose of intrigue moving forward.

ND Offers 2016 Pac-12 DB Commits
One area Notre Dame is looking to focus on in the 2016 cycle is at defensive back.
According to Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports, Brian Kelly and his staff tendered 4-star corner and Stanford commit Nygel Edmonds.
"I'm firm with my commitment to Stanford but I know that Notre Dame is a good school academically and I'm very hyped about the offer,” Edmonds told Rusty Mansell of 247Sports (via Wiltfong).
The Irish also offered 3-star safety and current Arizona State pledge D.J. Morgan.
While Edmonds seems open to the possibility of visiting South Bend, Morgan appears to be firm in his recent pledge to the Sun Devils, as noted by Ryan Bartow of 247Sports.
However, it appears that the Irish will continue to be aggressive in pursuing standout defensive backs in the 2016 cycle.

USC Offers 2017 5-Star LB
One position that USC has loaded up on in recent classes is linebacker.
Steve Sarkisian and his staff are hoping to keep that trend moving in a positive direction, as the Trojans offered 2017 5-star linebacker Baron Browning.
"Blessed to receive a offer today from the University of Southern California #FightOn✌️❤️
— Baron Browning (@baronbrwnng) May 28, 2015"
The 6’3”, 220-pound Texas native rates as the nation’s top inside linebacker prospect in the 2017 class.
Browning, who holds more than 20 offers, has early bids from schools such as Baylor, Oklahoma, Texas and Texas A&M.
