Jose Mourinho already has a cupboard full of trophies, and he has now added further silverware to his own collection.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard and Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez have also received awards for their efforts during the 2014/15 season.

Mourinho Wins LMA Award, Alexis Claims PFA Fans' Player Title

Wednesday, May 27

Liam Prenderville of the Daily Mirror reported that Mourinho was named the Premier League's LMA Manager of the Year for the first time.

The Chelsea manager was not in attendance to receive the accolade from former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson as he was at his club's end-of-season awards night. But Prenderville noted that Mourinho sent a video message instead.

Meanwhile, The Guardian reported that Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez was named Professional Footballers' Association Fans' player of the year.

Mourinho's award comes after he won the title of Premier League Manager of the Season on May 22. And one of Mourinho's key players, Eden Hazard, earned Premier League Player of the Season honours, per Sky Sports News HQ:

Seeing Mourinho and Hazard capture their post-season accolades was not a major surprise.

Chelsea won the Premier League in a walk this year, and with few managers far exceeding their clubs' expectations, Mourinho was the most logical choice. Football journalist Sulaiman Folarin found it somewhat odd that the Portuguese coach didn't actually win any of the Premier League's Manager of the Month awards:

While some might argue whether Mourinho was the best candidate, there shouldn't be much debate with the Player of the Season. Nobody has been more dazzling than Hazard. He owns the highest individual rating on WhoScored.com (7.93).

Sky Sports compared Hazard's numbers to those of Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola through 106 matches, and the Belgian owns the edge in each of the four categories listed:

Hazard's trophy cabinet is getting pretty full as well. He captured the PFA Player of the Year in April and earned the FWA Footballer of the Year earlier in May.

Now, the big question will be whether the 24-year-old can bag the biggest individual prize in world football: the Ballon d'Or. Hazard has been one of the top players in the world in 2015, and if he carries this form over to the start of the 2015/16 season, he'll almost certainly be on the shortlist.
