Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Memphis Depay, Javier Hernandez Rumours
Memphis Depay and his agent have flown to England to hold talks with Manchester United, according to reports.
The PSV Eindhoven forward is said to have made the journey by Dutch magazine Voetbal (via Kevin Palmer of the Sunday World): "His agent Kees Ploegsma and his colleague Kees Vos were also present at the interview with the English club. The United delegation was led by manager Louis van Gaal."
Jamie Sanderson of Metro also reported the alleged meeting. He suggested the two parties discussed a £130,000 per week deal for Depay, a player United are willing to pay "up to £25 million" for. Sport Witness hinted the story is too perfect to be believed:

United are said to be one of multiple clubs interested in the pacey goalscorer's signature. Rob Draper of the MailOnline suggested the player has held talks with Paris Saint-Germain, while also noting Liverpool's admiration.

Depay currently leads the way with 20 goals in a title-winning Eredivisie season for PSV, so he is surely destined to land a mega move. While money is most likely not a stumbling point for his potential suitors, United may try to utilise the player's relationship with Van Gaal to secure the deal.
Football writer Elko Born previously explained the pair's relationship:
James Robson of the Manchester Evening News believes Van Gaal will need to choose between signing Depay or Real Madrid's Gareth Bale in the summer. Robson believes "a relatively cut price Depay may appeal to him more" than spending a potential world-record sum on the struggling Welshman.
B/R UK's Matteo Bonetti looked at how United can become Premier League title-challengers next season:
One man who is unlikely to feature in a significant role again is Javier Hernandez. The Mexican is back in the headlines this week after scoring the Champions League quarter-final winner for Real against neighbours Atletico Madrid.
While Hernandez is destined to return from his loan spell at the end of the season, Matt Barlow of the MailOnline believes West Ham will launch a £7 million bid to lure him to London. Little Pea was a bit-part player under David Moyes last year and has struggled to gain a consistent run of matches at the Bernabeu, so he needs to consider a less demanding club to sustain his impact.
He has the quality to score plenty of goals in the right system. Despite never starting more than 18 Premier League matches in a season, Little Pea has reached double figures three times for United, per WhoScored.com.

The 26-year-old lacks the physical attributes traditionally pinned to Sam Allardyce's Hammers, but his poacher instinct could provide a clinical spearhead to a team who have scored one goal or less in 13 of their last 14 matches, per Soccerway.
It's unlikely Van Gaal will call on Hernandez next season, so cashing in will help free up funds for other investments. Although United fans will be sad to see him leave permanently, the likeable striker has the potential to achieve greater personal success elsewhere.
He would move further down the pecking order if Depay signs in what is looking like a third successive summer of change for the Red Devils.
