Daily Fantasy Premier League 2015: Week 33 DraftKings Matchups to Exploit

Steven CookApr 16, 2015

It's crazy to think only six weeks remain in the Premier League season as Week 33 approaches, but the top-flight competition in England is going out with a bang, with intense top-four races and relegation battles.

With clubs peaking and squads finding the right combinations, daily fantasy options are materializing better than ever. Let's take a peek into five players benefitting from a decent spell of play of their own who can help out your DraftKings team for the Saturday affairs for Week 33.

Forwards: Graziano Pelle ($7,900) and David Nugent ($5,800)

As Southampton fans exhaled at Graziano Pelle ending his 14-game goal drought in EPL play, fantasy owners rejoiced as he's no longer worth ignoring. The Saints' loyalty to stick with him should pay off now as his confidence boosts considerably, and he should keep it going against Stoke City—who haven't won in over a month.

For more bang for the buck, take a dip into the relegation zone with Leicester City's David Nugent. Lost in Leicester's morale-boosting two-match win spurt is the fact that he's scored twice in his last three games, and with his team logging eight goals in total during that span, producing chances shouldn't be too difficult. Swansea have kept just one clean sheet in their last five.

Midfielders: Yannick Bolasie ($7,200) and Marouane Fellaini ($5,900)

On a Crystal Palace squad that ranks third in the Premier League form guide, Yannick Bolasie takes on the scoring honors and is coming off arguably the best DK performance of any player this season. He put up 44 points last week with a hat-trick, and the Eagles face a West Brom team that has lost three in a row.

Marouane Fellaini's place in the starting 11 for Manchester United no longer feels in jeopardy, and he's not likely to come into a meeting with Chelsea scared after a goal the last time out against Manchester City. Three of his goals have come in his last 10 games. You won't find a better attacking option on the cheap.

Defender: Kieran Trippier ($5,500)

Picking Burnley's Kieran Trippier—the second-most expensive defender for Saturday—won't make up any salary on the competition. But there has never been a safer bet for production game in and game out, which is a rarity for back-line players.

DraftKings has Trippier at a whopping 223 crosses on the season, making him immensely valuable despite no goals and only four assists. He has 31 crosses in his last three starts, which all came against top-half clubs. Everton figure to dominate possession, but the lack of chances will only leave Burnley more apt to lean on Trippier's service.

Goalkeeper: Julian Speroni ($5,000)

Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni isn't big on clean sheets—he has one in his last 10 matches and just six all season—but he had no problem rattling off four straight victories nonetheless.

Averaging nearly 10 points on DK throughout his last six starts, he should be able to produce another win for red-hot Crystal Palace. His opponent for Saturday is West Brom, who have just a goal per game through their last six in league play.
