UK Back Pages: Louis van Gaal Warns Manchester United, Sterling Ridiculed

The Manchester derby naturally makes most of the headlines heading into Saturday, as the hated Manchester neighbours are set to clash at Old Trafford on Sunday with a point separating the two between third and fourth place. 

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool contract rebel Raheem Sterling still can't get out of the spotlight, as the saga between him and his club seemingly can't stay out of the news. 

First, in the Daily Star Louis van Gaal warns that his players must keep their cool in what will be a hotly contested derby. At the Etihad, Chris Smalling was sent off in a Manchester United defeat. 

Also, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho backs his star playmaker, and the odds-on favourite, to win the Player of the Year award.

Similarly, in the Daily Mail Van Gaal says that United can finish in third in order to silence those who have been critical of the Dutchman's first season at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mirror focuses on Sterling, who was heckled over his contract row by Liverpool supporters during the club's official kit launch on Friday.
