Manchester United Transfer News: Paul Pogba Swap Deal, Nathaniel Clyne Latest
Manchester United are reportedly looking to bring their former player Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford in the summer, with Robin van Persie potentially set to move the other way in a swap deal.
The 22-year-old Juventus midfielder has become arguably the best young player in the world since leaving Manchester and is reportedly being pursued by a swath of Europe's top clubs, per PA (via The Guardian).
United are supposedly looking to claim an edge in the inevitable summer transfer battle by offering 31-year-old striker Van Persie in part exchange, and the Dutchman is reportedly a target for Juve, per George Bellshaw from Metro.

The Red Devils also will supposedly offer Pogba a contract for a whopping £200,000 a week to try to lure him away from the Italian champions, per Tutto Mercato Web (h/t Bellshaw).
Anthony Chapman in the Daily Express relays the mooted figures involved in such a deal, with Tutto Mercato Web suggesting United will offer the Old Lady £54 million as well as the £18 million-rated Van Persie.
Pogba is one of the best players in Europe, as The Sun's Massimo Marioni indicates, and would be an immense addition to Louis van Gaal's squad:
The Red Devils look to be an improving side and should return to the Champions League next season, as a top-four Premier League finish looks likely.
Pogba, with his incredible ability both in defence and marauding forward from midfield, could be the key ingredient Van Gaal needs to push United towards title-contention once more.
He will not come cheap, but the Old Trafford outfit showed last summer that they are unafraid of splashing the cash, and Pogba may just be worth the astronomical figures being reported.
Southampton Fear Clyne Departure

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has admitted that right-back Nathaniel Clyne may well be on his way out of St Mary's this summer, with United a likely destination.
As reported by Samuel Luckhurst in the Manchester Evening News, Van Gaal is looking to add a right-back in the summer, and Koeman is not confident that the 24-year-old Clyne will stay at Southampton:
"We are still trying to keep Clyne in the club. We know it's not easy as maybe there is some interest. At the moment, there is not a serious bid for whichever player in the team, but we'll do everything to keep them.
"
Antonio Valencia has deputised at right-back for much of the season at United, with Van Gaal clearly not confident in Rafael's ability. The Brazilian is potentially set to depart Old Trafford in the summer, per Luckhurst.
While the Red Devils are looking to strengthen the centre of defence this summer, with potential targets discussed below by B/R UK's Sam Tighe, a quality addition at right-back would be a big boost also:
Clyne's contract with the Saints will expire in 2016, thus the south-coast club may hope to cash in on him this summer, if he is not set for a long-term stay.
In United, they have a willing suitor, and Clyne will surely jump at the chance to join a club of such repute.
